Use of branding iron
This depends on the size of the branding iron you are heating and the material you want to brand. Usually, you need to heat the stamp between 5 and 25 minutes. When working with leather, it is very important that the stamp does not get too hot. Tip: always try to test the branding iron on similar residual material as the material you want to stamp on. Large fire stamps: The larger the fire stamp, the longer it needs to heat up. Therefore, when you get the fire stamp, try to test it on a similar material as you want to put the stamp on. Material: Wood: 300 – 400 degrees, Leather: approx. 150 degrees.
JH Machining fire stamps are suitable for the following leathers:
- Snakeskin
- Crocodile leather
- Ostrich leather
- Calfskin
- Buffalo leather
- Cowhide leather
- Split Leather
- Suede
- Nubuck
- Vegan leather
- Synthetic leather (PU, imitation leather, skai or artificial leather)
- Stitched leather
JH Machining fire stamps are suitable for the following types of wood:
- Apple wood
- Beech wood
- Douglas wood
- Oak
- Maple
- Ash
- Pine
- Elm Dutch
- Cherry
- Larch wood
- Mahogany
- Walnut
- Padouk
- Purpleheart
- Yew wood
- Teak
- Wenge
- Zebrano
- All types of hardwood
The non-electric branding irons must be heated with a gas torch. Heating takes between 5 and 15 minutes. Test the branding iron first on a similar surface of residual material. Do you want a precise mark? Then we recommend an electric branding iron with a temperature regulator.
JH Machining branding irons are very suitable for leather like bracelets and bags. Because leather requires precision for a perfect mark, we recommend an electric branding iron with a temperature regulator. This needs about 15 minutes to warm up to the desired temperature of 150 degrees.
Upload logo
Yes, it will. If there is any doubt about the image you have uploaded, we will always contact you via WhatsApp, phone or email. Do you not want a circle in the brand? Please indicate this in the notes during checkout.
Yes. Please indicate this in the order note. If we still have doubts about the logo, we always contact you first via WhatsApp, phone or email before we start making the fire stamp. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
No. 99.5% of the stamps we make are good in one go. Would you like to receive a proof anyway? Please indicate this in the notes. Do you have special wishes for the image you upload (like certain parts you want to leave out)? Please let us know in the notes. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Of course. Please enter in the notes that you would like to receive a proof before we make the fire stamp. By default, we do not make a proof because 99.5% of the fire stamps are right the first time.
Yes, it is. Please indicate in the notes during checkout which part of the image we do not need to include. If we have any doubts, we will always contact you after ordering, before making the fire stamp. That way you know for sure it will be done right!
Yes, it is. The logo is always placed in the middle of the stamps. We always try to get the logo on the brand as good as possible. If you have any wishes, please indicate this in the description, just to be sure.
No this does not need to be on the branding iron. Please indicate in the notes box during checkout what does and does not need to be on the branding iron.
Yes. During the checkout process, you can give a description of what you do and do not want to be shown on the logo. Our designer will then take this into account and make sure that only the right part of the logo is shown.
The logo you upload is best viewed in black and white. The image you provide is converted into a black and white image. This is then used to create the branding iron. Would you like to get an impression of what your logo will look like? Look at some examples below. First you see the image that a customer has sent us, then the black & white image, and finally the real branding iron mark. If we are unsure about the image, we will always contact you before creating the branding iron. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. That means you must be 100% satisfied with the branding, otherwise you get your money back.
Size of logo
To choose the right size, this is important:
- Do you want the brand to fill the logo as completely as possible? The logo can be smaller than the brass branding plate. For example, a logo of 30mm x 30mm can also fit on a branding iron of 35 x 35mm. Please indicate this in the notes of the order.
- Which proportion fits the logo? For a rectangular logo, a rectangular branding iron is the best. For a square logo, a square branding iron, and for a round logo a round branding iron is best. But of course, all combinations are possible. So, a round logo on a square branding iron is also possible.
The logo on your branding iron is always stretched as much as possible in width and height, without changing the ratio of the image. So, the longest side is leading (this can be the width or height). We never adjust the ratio of the image itself. On both sides, a margin of 1.5mm is kept.
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We always make a proof of the image you upload. A proof is the image but in black and white, and in the size it will be printed on the stamp. If we think, based on the test print, that the image does not come out well on the branding iron we will let you know before we start making the fire stamp.
You can! Please make an appointment due to working hours (Groningen, Stavangerweg 41-13).
Products
Yes, the effect is the same. The only difference is that an electric fire stamp is easier to heat up. No external heating is required. In addition, an electric fire stamp in combination with a voltage regulator can keep the temperature constant. This makes it easier to be consistent in your marking, leaving a perfect stamp every time.
Please contact us for ordering separate heating elements. The size of the rod connecting the burner plate and the heating element must be the right size. If it is not the right size, the stamp will have to be machined at cost. The sizes of rods that are suitable for our heating elements have a diameter of 9.5 , 13 and 19mm. Please contact us for ordering separate heating elements. We will gladly advise you about the best heating element.
Larger sizes are possible. However, we cannot guarantee a good result because the object to be burned must be completely flat for a good result. This sometimes turns out to be a problem. The larger the object, the more difficult it is to obtain a clear mark. Please contact us when you are in need of a bigger branding iron.
